~ UNIQUE JEWELLERY FOR THE UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL

By skyeblux, Sep 1 2013 10:13AM

Found this fabulous video tutorial on Youtube which introduces a messy, fun craft that can be used by serious jewellery designers or simply by harassed mums looking for a creative outlet for their kids.

Apparently this technique was popularised in the 1960s and uses simple, affordable supplies to great results.

Here is the link to the youtube video by Cool2Craft: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvH0aLH4Qe8

Once again I'm stymied by the lack of html function in this blog program or I'd simply embed the vid.

But here's a photo of a fabulous necklace that you to could create using only bread, glue and paint. How cool is that?

I go to this show bi-annually (yes! it's on twice a year!!!). The main focus is on jewellery making, sewing and fabric work with millions of fat squares! and card making/scapbooking stalls although there are also some non-trade stalls with finished products and many workshops and tutorials to attend as well!

If like me, you don't drive, I take a bus/train to Belfast City Centre and then head towards the Dublin Road direction, (Down Beford Street at the back of the City Hall) and any of the metro buses that go down the Lisburn road will get you there or close. 9A/B/C timetable actually lists the King's hall as a main stop. Day tickets on the Metro (the pink buses!) are £3.00 for the whole days travel anywhere in the city.
